Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen is seeking an executive director (m/f/d).
Schöppingen, August 28, 2026 – After nearly six years of dedicated and successful collaboration, Julia Haarmann, Executive Director of the Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen, will leave the organization on October 31 to pursue a new career path. During her tenure, Julia Haarmann has reshaped the Künstlerdorf to ensure its future viability and has provided lasting impetus for its artistic, structural, and organizational development. Amid a period of diverse challenges and changes, the focus has always been on the organization’s successful work and its significance for the cultural landscape.
Julia Haarmann: “The past few years have been a formative and enriching time for me. I am especially grateful for the many meaningful encounters and the trusting collaboration. I look back with great joy on what we have achieved together and am now looking forward to pursuing new professional paths. I am convinced that the Künstlerdorf will continue to grow in cultural significance in the future.”
The Board of Directors of the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen honors the work of Julia Haarmann:

With this change, the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen is also looking ahead. The upcoming appointment of a new management position offers the opportunity to build on the successful work of recent years while also providing new impetus for the institution’s future development.
The position of executive director will therefore be filled at the earliest possible date. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual who, together with the team, will continue the successful work of the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen and further develop the organization strategically, structurally, and culturally.
