Franziska Klose (*1977 in Halberstadt, Germny) is an artist and photographer. She studied visual communication, fine arts and photography in Weimar, Geneva and Leipzig, and worked as a graphic designer and on archaeological excavations. Since 2010 she has been working on post-industrial landscapes and contemporary nature. She creates photographic series, artist books, collages and audio works.
In Schöppingen, Franziska Klose worked on plants, their physiology and communication in relation to symbioses, evolution and the cohabitation with humans. She created first collages for the “Atlas of Indoor Plants” and the photographic study “The Garden”. With her camera, she explored the Künstlerdorf’s kitchen garden as a botanical microcosm. In collaboration with Vera Vorneweg and Yoeri Guépin, who planted the garden, an artist’s book will be published. “The Garden” was part of the group exhibition “The Harvest”.
