Vyacheslav Kupriyanov (*1939 in Novosibirsk) lives in Moscow as a freelance poet and translator since his studies of mathematics and linguistics in 1967. Viacheslav is member of the Russian (since 1976) and Serbian (since 1999) Writers‘ Associations, member of the Russian and International PEN (since 2004) and member of the leadership of the Association of Internet Poets of Russia (since 2009). Viacheslav was already fellow at the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen in 1996.
Viacheslav Kupriyanov worked on the final version of his long-term book project „Goldregen“ (Gold Rain) during his stay in the Künstlerdorf. In cooperation with the Neue Literarische Gesellschaft in Marburg, the title was published in a Russian-German version at the end of 2021. In addition, the poetry collection „Salz auf der Erdzunge“ (Salt on the Tongue of the Earth) was published as a Russian-Serbian translation. For this work Kupriyanov received the poetry prize “ The Golden Key of Smederevo“ during his fellowship.
