She is also the author of the forthcoming collection of non-fiction essays, Black Time (2025). My residency at the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen was nourishing in all kinds of ways: in the space and time that it provided for me to work with concentration on my book project, in the inspiring contact and exchange with a community of artists from all over the world, and in the contacts I made with regional literary initiatives, as well as events and readings I participated in in NRW. I appreciate how the residency brought these global and local/regional relationships together.
