In the spring and summer of 2023, the library of the Künstlerdorf will become a place of encounter, learning and knowledge. Following the concept of the „Living Library“, people from different backgrounds will come together here to meet.
In the successive redesign of the library, global perspectives of the authors represented in the library and multilingualism are taken into account on the one hand, but on the other hand, forms of literature beyond the book format are also given attention. The library, with its character between archive and „living library“[1], will be enriched by the perspectives of the participants. Everybody who is interested can also contribute objects and materials such as photo albums or media.
The project includes a series of events with workshops, readings, walks, tea ceremonies and deep listening sessions, alternating between international authors.
At the conclusion of the project, there will be an all-day event with readings, literary offerings, and the opening of the library.

Readings every third Monday of the month from March to December 2023!
